Our delicious gourmet menus have been designed, created, tried and tested in the Heart of the Lake District. We use fresh and local produce to create new and innovative tastes to attract foodies from across the Globe!

History

The Lakes Catering Company started small, delivering fresh delicious meals to holiday cottages in the local area. However, we soon noticed that our customers wanted more. Over the last 4 years we have grown our family business to cater for large events all over the Lakes. Cooking meals from raw, fresh ingredients at spectacular venues and serving our unique menus to people from all over the UK.

Now, many of our customers have travelled nationwide, up and down the UK to experience our chef’s heavenly food from our home here in the Lake District. Consequently, we had to move office and built a bigger state of the art commercial kitchen.  We are located down the lane from the famous Beatrix Potter’s home where she created those well known books!  Our menus have evolved as well, and we cater for all styles of event from a private party to a fully bespoke wedding experience. We just love making your event the very best!

What we do now

We cater for any kind of event you can think of, from large wedding events to catering in your own home.  We also provide a wonderful catering service for luxury holiday cottages in the Lakes district. This experience means we definitely know how to cater for a party! This is a lovely option to really make the most of your holiday rental and is also great for large parties who struggle to book a restaurant.  We have supplied many holiday letting companies, here are just a few:

Our Cafes

Other places to visit whilst up in the Lake District are our cafes. We have been working in partnership with National trust  for a few years, running the Cafe in the Courtyard at Claife Viewing Station and have recently opened the Wray Castle Cafe.  The delicious Ferrymans Picnic comprises of local produce and includes our pies. The traybakes and fresh scones are a must. Finally, our cafes have perfected their Sawrey Pie, using a local recipe to give people a proper taste of the Lakes.

We have a wealth of local knowledge of the best places to stay, eat and play.
